From vision to innovation - the history of alimex
The alimex success story begins with a clear vision: to offer metalworking companies tailor-made solutions for their actual aluminium requirements. With this goal in mind, our founder Helmut Geller developed the cast plate process in 1980 - a market-defining innovation that raised the technical and economic possibilities in the processing of aluminium to a new level.
This process is still the foundation of our company today. Our core business includes the production of aluminium plates, aluminium plate cut to size and components made of aluminium. Whether in the solar industry, medical technology, the semiconductor industry or in mechanical engineering - our products set standards in precision, low stress or anodizability.
Global presence - strong roots
As a medium-sized family business from Germany, we are proud to be not only a pioneer, but also a leading manufacturer of aluminium cast plates. Today, we have production sites on three continents and employ almost 200 people worldwide.
