Macro-microscopic assessment

An eye for detail: precision at all levels

Macro-microscopic evaluation is the last, decisive step in determining the material properties of aluminium. It guarantees the highest quality – down to the smallest detail. At alimex, we place a high value on a smooth process along the entire value chain: from the selection of the right alloy, to the perfect annealing process, to precise sawing and milling processes. With macro-microscopic examination, we get to the bottom of the material to ensure that it has exactly the properties required for optimal use.

Our expertise is not only in demand for our own products, but also when we are consulted as experts in material testing, development or feasibility studies. We offer our customers sound support in all technical matters relating to the material.

Precision at every step

The path to exact aluminium blanks and components requires precision in all areas. Starting with casting plate technology, which alimex has developed and perfected. Through specially adapted annealing processes, we give the aluminium plates exactly the properties that are necessary to achieve the best sawing and milling results.

But the sawing or milling process itself also has a decisive influence on the quality of the workpiece. Only with the utmost care and the most precise machines can the desired surface structures be achieved exactly. This is particularly important in optical and semiconductor technology: quality defects detected too late can not only lead to expensive and disruptive process delays, but also cause long-term follow-up costs. All this work requires real expertise, experience and the utmost care.

Precision you can rely on

For all these reasons, we at alimex consider it essential to subject the material to a thorough macroscopic and microscopic examination. This is used not only in quality assurance, but also in research and development, as well as in testing orders, to ensure the highest precision and quality.
